Founded in the 1970s in Athens, BISSIAS & PARTNERS was located at, Anthimou Gazi Street 9, near the Old Parliament. Our practice was shaped by Attorney Stavros I. Bissias (1932–2022), whose guidance and values continue to inspire our work.

Since the mid-1990s, BISSIAS & PARTNERS has been led by Dr. iur. Ilias S. Bissias, admitted to the Bars of Athens, Zurich, and Frankfurt am Main. His legal studies at the Universities of Heidelberg, Basel, and Zurich, combined with his professional experience in Greece, Switzerland, and Germany, form the foundation of the firm’s strong international focus.

Served as a research assistant to Professors Hubert Niederländer and Erik Jayme at the Institutes of Legal History and International Private Law, University of Heidelberg (1985–1989)

Master’s degree in International Labour Law at the University of Reading, UK (LL.M. 1996).
